In Media Res Calls for Proposals
In Media Res is currently accepting proposals from prospective curators for Spring 2027! Our objective is to highlight work at the intersection of film, media, and culture. We offer a space for open dialogue about contemporary approaches to studying media and timely critical engagement with broader cultural conversations.
In addition to developing the theme for the week, curators identify and invite 4-5 contributors who offer a range of perspectives on the proposed topic.
If you are interested in curating a theme week, please email your proposal to inmediares@gsu.edu with the following information:
1. The title of your proposed theme week
2. A brief description of the theme week topic
Note: Theme week curators and contributing authors should be prepared to meet the publication deadline as discussed by the curator and the IMR Managing Editor. All publication materials should be sent to the Managing Editor, via the curator, 5-7 days prior to the scheduled publication date.
Academics, journalists, critics, and media professionals are all welcome to submit proposals.
