Ramon Lobato is Senior Research Fellow in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University, Melbourne. A scholar of contemporary screen industries, he has a special interest in video distribution, streaming, and piracy. He is the author of Shadow Economies of Cinema, The Informal Media Economy (with J. Thomas) and Netflix Nations.
