Ian Pettigrew received his PhD in Film and Media Studies from the University of Miami. He has recently published an essay in The Journal of Religion and Film and has a forthcoming essay in a collection from Hong Kong University Press on Chinese filmmakers who have worked in America. He is also completing a book for McFarland & Company on the cinema of Ermanno Olmi.
