Bio

Lisa Purse is the author of Digital Imaging in Popular Cinema (Edinburgh University Press, 2013) and Contemporary Action Cinema (Edinburgh University Press, 2011), and has published on genre cinema, digital aesthetics, special effects histories, and the relationships between film style and the politics of conflict representation in mainstream cinema.
