I am currently in my final year of PhD study at the University of Roehampton, where my thesis examines found footage horror cinema and cultural trauma. I have taught on film history, criticism and analysis in addition to lectures on televisual horror and the video nasties debate. I have presented my research, in addition to papers on new media, gaming, and period dramas, at a variety of conferences. I have two forthcoming publications, an article on American Horror Story: Murder House, schools shooters, hybristophilia and the true crime fandom - which will be appearing in the European Journal of American Culture, and a co-written (with Dr Wickham Clayton) chapter on Captivity, gendered violence, and torture horror in Gender and Contemporary Horror in Film (forthcoming March 2019).
