Martin P. Rossouw is head of the Department of Art History and Image Studies, University of the Free State, South Africa, where he teaches as Senior Lecturer in Film and Visual Media. He is the author of Transformational Ethics of Film: Thinking the Cinemakeover in the Film-Philosophy Debate (2021), co-editor, with Julian Hanich, of What Film is Good For: On the Values of Spectatorship (2023), and editor of Brill’s Contemporary Cinema book series.
