Mirella-Kami Ntahonsigaye is a first-generation Burundian Canadian; she is a Ph.D. student in Communication and Media Studies at Carleton University, residing in the unceded Anishinaabe Algonquin Territory. Her research looks into black audio-visual media and cultural techniques, media historicity and black futurity, focusing on Black Horror and a growing interest in its relationship to ideas of critical ecologies.
