Christina is a Ph.D. student and practicing filmmaker in the Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of Kansas. She received her M.A. in Individualized Study (Dance/Film) in 2008 from New York University and her B.A. in Film and Electronic Arts from California State University, Long Beach in 2006. Her current research explores issues of gender, identity and girl power in contemporary tween television.
