I am a Canadian with a PhD in philosophy from the University of Wales, UK, and 10 years experience as an adjunct in various Canadian institutions including: University of Waterloo; Dalhousie University; Saint Mary's University; and Mount Saint Vincent University. I am presently an expatriate living in Redmond, WA. I am an independent researcher/scholar concentrating on models for higher education reform. Currently I am developing three such models: 1) the Professional; 2) the Co-operative; and 3) a hybrid of (1) and (2). Like so many others, during my "tenure" as an adjunct I have also generated income outside of academia, where I have owned and operated a business, built houses, delivered newspapers, and been a landscaper and high rise window cleaner. I am married with one canine "child."
