I am a PhD candidate in Religious Studies at Claremont Graduate University. My work focuses on the cultural politics of scriptures– sacred and secular, ancient and modern, written and not written. As a teacher-scholar, I am committed to growing the public discourse around religion and culture in order to yield a more peaceful society. I currently lecture in the Ethnic and Women’s Studies program at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and consult at Claremont Graduate University’s Writing Center. I have also taught religion, anthropology, and writing courses at various universities in the Greater Los Angeles area.
