This theme week, we are rerunning the set of posts that inaugurated the partnership between In Media Res and Cinema Journal. The timing coincides with the release of the premier issue of the newly designed and renamed JCMS: Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, ushering in a new era under Editor Caetlin Benson-Allott’s leadership. The journal is continuing to diversify its tradition of theoretically and historically rigorous scholarship on film, television, digital media, and other audiovisual technologies, industries, and cultures. In this spirit, we are growing JCMS’ online footprint across platforms and partnerships. As you discover or return to these posts from 2010, we encourage you to comment on how you would like to see JCMS’ presence shift and/or expand with IMR. We are excited for the opportunities to come.
