Welcome to [in]Transition’s third issue of 2021, 8.3. This issue features a variety of peer-reviewed videographic work focused on a fascinating array of film and moving image studies topics: the opening seconds of The Wire, women and filmic figurations of the home, the cinematic mise-en-scène of moments of recognition, Barbara Stanwyck's horseback riding, and a consideration of how the stethoscope might reveal something about the medium of cinema.
