Taylor is a PhD student in English with a Cultural Studies emphasis at the University of Washington in Seattle. She earned her MA in English from Oregon State University in 2008, where she also earned her BA in English and History. Her current scholarship is concerned with the ways in which sexuality, gender, and race intersect with the creation and maintenance of American nationalism and national identity, and how those processes are embedded in popular culture and literature, with an emphasis on late twentieth century and post 9/11 texts.
