Alexandra, for the last 20 years, has been completely immersed in academia and the film industry. Having been a contributor to horror film magazine, Fangoria, to programming festivals in America and Europe, to teaching science fiction film, her diverse experience has contributed to now owning her own film festival, the Zeitgeist Film Festival, and research towards her PhD at the University of Amsterdam. Her passion for pop culture originates from how an artifact represents its zeitgeist resulting in her Film Studies MA and Film Producing MFA from Chapman University, California focused on Millennial Postmodern remakes, her festival addressing socio-political themes in film and her doctorate examining Auspicious Apocalyptic tendencies in post 9/11 cinema.
