Amanda Visconti is Webmaster at the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH). Amanda is also a Ph.D. student in the University of Maryland's Department of English, where she focuses on designing, creating, and theorizing digital literary texts as spaces of play, participation, and discovery. She holds a master's degree with a specialization in the digital humanities from the University of Michigan School of Information and has a background in web design as well as various information roles (library, digital archival, and preservation work). She also works as a graduate research assistant on a study of the design and educational use of alternate reality games (ARGs) at UMD's iSchool and co-organized the January 2012 inaugural THATCamp Games unconference.
