Currently on the alt-ac track focusing on curricular and co-curricular aspects of Honors education at a large research 1 university, I dabble only too rarely in my own area of research in media, cultural translation and gender. My position offers much opportunity to think about the ways a University functions, the nature of higher education in the USA (and beyond) and the implications of what we teach for the future of our society.
