Ashley is a writer/director, currently in development on the feature film, THE PRICE OF FLOWERS, and was a 2012 IFP Emerging Narrative Fellow at the esteemed Project Forum with that project. THE PRICE OF FLOWERS was also selected as one of 5 screenplays performed at the 2012 SAG Indie's Emerging Narrative Reading Series at Lincoln Center's Walter Read Theater. Ashley earned her MFA in Film from Columbia University in New York where wrote two feature screenplays and wrote and directed a variety of short films including her thesis short, THE PRICE OF FLOWERS which made its international premiere at the 29th Annual Vancouver Film Festival, received honors at the Topanga Film Festival in California and was an official selection at a variety of other festivals world-wide including New Orleans, Toronto Inside Out, London Ontario and Soho International Film Festivals. She returned to her home town of New Orleans in the summer of 2010 where she currently serves as Director of Programs for the New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC), the oldest media arts non-profit in the Southeast Region and develops educational programming and services for filmmakers. Ashley also, serves the film community through board service at the New Orleans Film Society and Film Festival (NOFS & NOFF).
