Bridget Kies is an Assistant Professor of Film Studies and Production in the Department of English at Oakland University and is affiliated faculty with the Women's and Gender Studies program. Her research examines queer media and audiences and has been published in numerous academic journals and edited collections. She has also co-edited special issues of the journals Participations and Queer Studies in Media and Popular Culture. Together with Megan Connor, she is the co-editor of the book Fandom, the Next Generation.
