Colin Burnett is Associate Professor of Film & Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis and Associate Editor of The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies. He is the author of The Invention of Robert Bresson: The Auteur and his Market (2017), and is currently at work on a book about the James Bond franchise, entitled Serial Bonds: The Shape of 007 Stories. He writes a blog, called Moving Patterns, and has a forthcoming article in The Journal of Narrative Theory (54.1) that explores the cumulative or “flexi-narrative” techniques of the iconic James Bond films (1962-2021).
