Elsie Walker co-runs the Cinema Studies program at Salisbury University, Maryland. She is author of Understanding Sound Tracks Through Film Theory (2015) and Hearing Haneke: the sound tracks of a radical auteur (2017), both with Oxford University Press. She is currently working on a book about the life-giving energy of film sound tracks (tentatively titled Life 24x a Second), also under contract with Oxford UP.
