Fred Mindlin has a passion for digital storytelling. Fred taught 3rd and 4th grade for a dozen years, first as a bilingual/multicultural specialist and then as one of the original teachers with Alianza Charter School's two-way immersion program. He spent the last seven years of his public school teaching career as a technology integration trainer and administrator. He now serves as Associate Director for Technology Integration with the Central California Writing Project at UCSC and consults with schools and non-profit organizations on digital storytelling, teaching authentic writing about social justice and personal memoir. He is also a web designer and arts education activist and serves on the board of the Pajaro Valley Arts Council and as Vice Chair of the Santa Cruz Cultural Council’s Associates.
