Massimo Scaglioni, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Media History at the Catholic University of Milan (Faculty of Foreign Languages – Department of Communication and Performing Arts). He is the author of several books on media and broadcasting history in Italy. He is Research Coordinator at the Research Centre for Television and Audiovisual Media at Università Cattolica (Ce.R.T.A.), didactic Director of the Master “Fare Tv. Analisi, Gestione, Comunicazione” at ALMED (Post graduate Schools on Media, Communication and Performig Arts) and a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals "Journal for European Television History and Culture" and "Comunicazioni Sociali". In 2012 he has been short term Visiting Professor at Carleton University, Ottawa (Canada), with a grant from Centre for European Studies - European Union Centre for Excellence. Ira Wagman is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has published research in the areas of cultural policy, media history, digital media, and communication theory, with particular reference to the Canadian context. He is the co-editor of Intersections of Media and Communications: Concepts and Critical Frameworks (2010) and Culturalindustries.ca: Making and Studying Canadian Media in the Digital Age (Forthcoming). He is on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Communication. In 2009-2010, he was an Erasmus Mundus Visiting Professor at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Arhus.
