Patrick Keating is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Trinity University, where he teaches courses in film studies and video production. His first book, Hollywood Lighting from the Silent Era to Film Noir, won the Best First Book Award from Society of Cinema and Media Studies. His current research on camera movement has been supported by grants from the Academy Film Scholars program and the American Council of Learned Societies.
