Sharon Lauricella is a Communication scholar and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at UOIT in Oshawa, Ontario. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Cambridge (UK), and a BA from Wheaton College (Massachusetts). Sharon's research focuses on spiritual communication, digital feminist identities, and the use of mobile technologies in higher education. Sharon has been recognized for teaching excellence, having been awarded the UOIT Teaching Award twice (2007 and 2012) and the CJPS Faculty Teaching Award (2010). She teaches courses including Communication Ethics, Public Speaking, Nonviolent Communication, Contemporary Issues in Communication, and Senior Seminar.
