Mumtaz Hammad is living and working on lands occupied by the city of Orlando, in territory belonging to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. They are a transfer student in their third year at the University of Central Florida pursuing a undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Humanities. Currently, they are a resident artist for Club K0i and the Internetfriends Collective in Miami in addition to researching within an academic context. Their research interests include transnational solidarity within global anti-capitalist movements, the neoliberal re/construction of identity, and analysing contemporary South Asian diaspora in the US through a Marxist critical perspective.
