Pooja Rangan is a scholar and writer based in New York and Massachusetts, working on documentary politics and ethics. She is Associate Professor of English and Film and Media Studies at Amherst College, and author of the book IMMEDIATIONS: The Humanitarian Impulse in Documentary. Her current projects include AUDIBILITIES, a monograph on how documentary forms design our sonic reality by modeling ways of speaking and listening, a co-edited anthology of essays titled THINKING WITH AN ACCENT (with Akshya Saxena, Ragini Tharoor Srinivasan, and Pavitra Sundar), and ABOLITION DOCUMENTARY, a co-authored project with Brett Story.
