Dudley Andrew taught cinema and literary history and aesthetics at Iowa for 30 years, then at Yale for 22 years. Occasionally offering seminars and working on dissertations, he currently researches stylistic interrelations between film and fiction within and beyond adaptation. As well he continues supplying English readers with thematically organized artciles by Andre Bazin (on TV and 'Scope, on Adaptation, soon on Documentary) while assessinig recent world cinema in relation to Bazinian concepts of Space and Time.
