I am a second-year Ph.D student at the University of Washington.
Broadly, my scholarship explores how technologies modify—and therein historicize—human modes of emotion, connection, and embodying. Most recently, I've taken up human faciality as an object of interest (i.e., facial filters, e-makeup, automatic facial recognition technology, digital physiognomies, etc.).
