Kyle A. Hammonds (M.S., University of North Texas, B.S., Texas A&M University - Commerce) is a doctoral candidate and director of public speaking in the Department of Communication at the University of Oklahoma. His research broadly explores the intersections of communication, culture, and media. Kyle's work often examines how narrative structures and processes influence and/or constitute communication to shape consciousness and behavior. He is particularly interested in the role of media and story-telling in “dark” communicative contexts impacting existential impulses.
