Jamie Poster is Professor of Film Studies and Gender Studies at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, CA. She has written and published in several areas including film/television studies, game studies, digital identity studies, and interactive media studies. Some topics of interest include critical theory, cultural studies, critical race and gender studies, media convergence, digital activism, and authenticity/realism in the information era. Her current research examines liberal racism and contemporary music culture through the lenses of critical race and gender/sex studies, genres, interactivity, and neoliberalism.
